Sunset at Downtown Sandusky

11 Mar

Like other downtowns of post-industrial cities in the midewest, downtown Sandusky has not changed much for half a century except that most stores are left empty. It is very interesting visiting these downtowns since they show you what they were like fifty or more years ago. They have mature tress, a variety of facades, pedestrian-friendly sidewalks, street parking, old alleys, old theatre and other building types that an old city needed. In the case of Sandusky, it even has a majestic city hall with a beautiful park in the front, a ferry station and a scenic coastline. With all these great infrastructure, downtown Sandusky is waiting to be rehabbed (Rehabilitated) and awakened.
